Divine Visit of Shreemajjadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Raghaveshwara Bharathi Mahaswamiji to Shree Bharathi Vidyalaya
From 10th to 13th July 2026 (Nija Jyeshtha Ekadashi to Chaturdashi), His Holiness Shreemajjadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Raghaveshwara Bharathi Mahaswamiji visited Shree Bharathi Vidyalaya, Vijayanagar, as part of the four-day “Jnana Yana” programme. The visit was a memorable occasion for the school, bringing together students, teachers, parents, devotees, and the Management for spiritual learning and guidance.
The programme began on 10th July with a traditional Poorna Kumbha welcome. His Holiness was received by the Management, Principal, teachers, staff, students, parents, and devotees. The Dhooli Paduka Pooja was performed by Sri Prabhakar Alagodu and family, marking the beginning of the four-day programme.
On 11th July, following the Shrikararchita Pooja, His Holiness inaugurated the school’s new academic building. He then visited the Science and Art Exhibition prepared by the students and appreciated their creativity, innovation, and the efforts of the teachers who guided them.
During the Dharma Sabha, the Sabha Pooja was performed by Smt. Nagaveni Bhagavat and Sri Narayan Bhagavat. Chairman Dr. Sharada Jayagovind delivered the Prastavika Nudi, after which Principal Smt. Varsha S. S. presented the School Report, highlighting the institution’s achievements and progress. The occasion also included the felicitation of the donors who had generously contributed to the development of the school. To commemorate the school’s 25 years of journey, His Holiness blessed the commemorative memento and presented it to the Management and Principal. In His Ashirvachana, His Holiness spoke on the importance of value-based education, the role of teachers in shaping young minds, and the need to nurture discipline, good character, and a spirit of service among students. The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Headmaster Sri Satyanarayana Bhat.
The Governing Council dignitaries Dr. Sharada Jayagovind, Smt. Nagaveni Bhagavat, C. S. Sripad Sarang, Sri P. J. Bhat Sri Prabhakar Alagodu, Sri Shivaraj Permukha, Sri Ranjan Berkaduvu, Smt. Sujata Shanbhag, and Smt. Anuradha Parvathi were blessed by His Holiness Sri Samsthana during the programme.
His Holiness also met with the Management and conducted a special guidance session for the teachers.
On 12th July, Bhiksha Seve was performed by CS Shripad Bhat Sarang and family on behalf of Shree Bharathi Vidyalaya.
On 13th July, during the Shrikararchita Pooja, more than 1,200 students received the darshan of the Shrikararchita Deities. His Holiness later attended the school assembly and blessed the students, teachers, and staff.
The highlight of the visit was the “Jnana Yana” interaction with students. His Holiness answered their questions on concentration, self-confidence, discipline, respect for parents and teachers, service, and Indian values using simple examples from daily life. His guidance inspired everyone present.
The four-day visit of His Holiness Shreemajjadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Raghaveshwara Bharathi Mahaswamiji was a significant milestone in the history of Shree Bharathi Vidyalaya. It provided students, teachers, parents, devotees, the Management, and the entire school community with an opportunity to receive His blessings and strengthen their commitment to knowledge, values, discipline, and service.
